As part of the Memorial Scholarship named after Olena Semikolenova, one of the winners - Mykhailo Tavshunsky, in the context of work on the formation of public opinion on the need to change the text of the National Anthem so that it becomes gender-neutral, wrote a letter to the Institute of Ukrainian Language. The request was for the interpretation of the words sons / youth / brothers.
