Today, on December 19, the scholarship award ceremony in honor of Olena Semikolenova took place.
This December, the NGO "Women's Information Consultative Center" conducted a selection process for the Olena Semikolenova scholarship for researchers from Ukraine for short-term studies or research projects, and other initiatives that promote gender equality in Ukrainian society.
The scholarship recipients are:
Natalka Vyshnevetcka, research topic: "Impact of war on the needs of women in Ivano-Frankivsk region". Research objective: to study the needs of different groups of women for future planning of activities to implement measures from the localized National Action Plan 1325 in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Olga Kostina, research topic: "Renaming of toponymy in Kryvyi Rih in the 20s of the 21st century within decolonization processes: the path of changes and their results for the recognition of women". Research objective: To document statistical data of part of the toponymic names of the city to outline which socio-political spheres prevail in recognition at this historical stage through renaming, and the distribution by gender in each of them. Track the impact of different advocacy methods on the obtained results.
Alona Zavorotna, research topic: "Gender analysis of the branch of the separated unit 'South Ukrainian NPP' of the joint-stock company 'National Nuclear Energy Generating Company 'Energoatom'". Research objective: to identify key challenges and develop recommendations to achieve gender equality in the enterprise.
Olena Vtoraya, research topic: "Gender analysis of the nuclear industry. Focus on the branch 'Separated unit 'South Ukrainian NPP' of the joint-stock company 'NAEC 'Energoatom''. Research objective: to identify instances of gender discrimination in employment, inclusion in the talent pool, distribution of professions by gender, encouragement and motivation of male and female workers in the nuclear sector.
